Consider geographical restrictions in terms of film screening rights. Our survey respondents indicated that virtual film offerings are often limited to their own country or language region.
Make sure your digital platform or website is easy to use, especially for visitors with disabilities. In the Netherlands, Accessibility Foundation could help with this. Accessibility Foundation is also lead coordinator of the web accessibility domain of the EU European eAccessplus Network. In that role, they are responsible for European harmonization and outreach of Web Accessibility.
Digital audiences also mean digital service and support. What do you do if the website gets overloaded? And what if visitors cannot access a film because of a technical glitch? Think about this carefully in advance. One-off live programmes require a different level of support than programmes that are on the website for weeks. And: always always test well in advance!
